Small and suuuuper simple project today. But totally useful! I made a tissue holder, following martha stewarts instructions. lol, I decorated it a bit, but now that I know how easy it is to make them, I’m going to make more elaborate ones. With lace and pearl beadings and the like. :) They’d make cute gifts for valentines too!

Today, I felt inspired to do a small sewing projects. I’m really into sewing bows and hair accessories recently… I just wish my sister didn’t break BOTH sewing machines. So, what would take 5 minutes, takes 15 or 20 minutes to hand sew them. Ugh.

:D Although scrunchies are really 90’s, I really like them. :) I’ll be wearing it tomorrow! I need to go shopping for fabrics and other necessities…I’m running out of pretty fabric. D; I tried making a rabbit/twisted headband…but the wire I have was too thin and broke when I twisted it…;_; Also, the ‘ears’ parts were a bit too small. = w = I need better measurements…I’ll try again soon! …when I get some money.

My parents went to Universal Studio’s city walk today and brought me back this bracelet from Francesca’s. We have a small boutique of their store here where I live, but I never buy anything because it’s all so expensive…this bracelet was $16 dollars and it looks like something you can buy at forever 21 for about 4-5 bucks. But I mean, everything is super cute. I am excited to get this bracelet though. It’s a bunch of silver feathers on a chain with turquoise rock bits. It’s not my style, but it is pretty. It goes along with what we’re learning in Music 295: Navajo singing and such. x) It just reminded me of that. But, I’m thankful for my present. :3

I picked up my textbooks today…$578 worth of textbooks. All brand new organic chem books and one $16 music appreciation book. I accidentally bought the study guide and solutions manual online…because it didn’t list it as a Solutions manual and I thought it was required for the class. The solutions manual alone is $130 dollars. What the hell. But I guess it’ll come in handy…This better last me the whole 3 series of organic chemistry. UGH. LEARNING IS SO EXPENSIVE.

My friend, Miles, tried to wear my sweater. I think it was a little too tight. :P

Why are Organic Chemistry books so expensive!?!? Why are textbooks so expensive in general!? D; I haven’t bought them yet…and school starts on Monday. I have lab Monday. Hopefully, all we do is check-in… ;_;

I have to raise my gpa this quarter. Otherwise, I’m kicked out of the Honor’s program. Ugh. I hate calculus. Why is it so hard for me to understand? Why did I choose this major? Why. Why. Why.

…But I’m looking forward to organic chemistry :3….

Let’s hope I don’t fail.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to spend the last few hours of 2011 partying with friends because I woke up awfully sick the night before and my health just went down from there. However, I did make more progress on my scarf for Nestor…since that’s all I could do. T ^ T

My secret present for Nestor is going to be a NOOK color. :D I can’t afford it, well…I mean I can but then I’d be broke, this christmas so I’m getting it for his anniversary gift in April. Also, he won’t be so mad at me for spending that much money on him then. :D Since I’ll be saving up 50 each month.

My mom is going to make spring rolls today and some pancit with shrimp. I wish I could smell the food but my nose is too clogged up. T__T;; WaiT! I can smell the fishiness of the shrimp. And it smells delicious. I love to eat shrimp just sauteed in butter and a dash of paprika or cayenne. So yummy~

I’m too sick to want to continue this..I’ll just post pictures up later.

Also! I’m going to try making this animal shaped wrist supporter to put under him while he’s on the computer…I don’t know what they’re called. And a candle dollie for his mom. I forgot the other crafts that I’m going to make for Nestor…

These are beautiful. I’ve seen t-shirts and stuff like that done with the bleach pen, but on the black it looks so good. I can imagine buying black cotton and just painting with the bleach pens.

I’ve been craving a need to buy bath bombs. I’m putting off buying a couple from etsy until a bit later. I just feel like I shouldn’t use Nestor’s card for that right now. >___<; Buuuut, I went to walgreens and found bath bombs on sale! buy one get one free! The first bath bomb is vanilla amber, which is a kind of light light light tan color and smells the strongest of the three types. The next is white tea & jasmine, which is a white bath bomb and smells very fresh and clean. The last is lavender and chamomile, a nice purple color with blue flecks and smells wonderful…smells just like name. I probably like the last one the best. The amber smells good too but it’s a bit overpowering. I can’t wait to enjoy these!
